Mechanical processing process, technical personnel according to the number of products, equipment conditions and the quality of workers, etc., to determine the use of the process, and the relevant content written process documents, this document is called process procedures.
In order to facilitate the preparation, implementation and production organization management of process procedures, it is necessary to divide the process into different levels of units. They are process, installation, station, step and walk. The process is the basic unit in the process.
The machining process of parts consists of several processes.
Process
A (or a group of) workers, in a work (or a machine), on a (or at the same time on several) workpiece continuous completion of that part of the process called process. The division of processes is based on whether the workplace changes and whether the work process is continuous.
For example, when machining a batch of shafts on a lathe, either roughing and finishing each shaft continuously, or roughing the entire batch of shafts and then finishing them in turn.
In this case, the processing includes only one process; in the second case, due to the interruption of the continuity of the processing process, although the processing is carried out on the same machine tool, it becomes two processes.
The process is the basic unit that makes up the process and the basic unit of production planning.
Installation
In the machining process, the workpiece on the machine or in the fixture to occupy a correct position and clamping process, known as clamping. Sometimes, the workpiece needs to be clamped several times on the machine tool to complete-the work content of a process. Installation refers to the part of the process completed after the workpiece is clamped once.
For example, when machining a shaft on a lathe, first machine part of the surface from one end, then turn around and then machine the other end. At this time, the process includes two installations.
Station
When using indexing (or shifting) fixtures, rotary tables or processing on multi-axis machine tools, the workpiece must be processed in turn through thousands of positions after being clamped on the machine tool. The part of the process completed on each position occupied by the workpiece on the machine tool is called the station.
In simple terms, the workpiece relative to the machine tool or tool each occupy a processing position to complete that part of the process content, called the station.
Step
In the processing surface, cutting tools, cutting speed and feed under the same conditions, the continuous completion of the part of the process is called the work step. Production is also often referred to as "feed".
In order to improve productivity, several tools are used to process at the same time, and several surface processing steps are called composite steps, which can also be regarded as one step.
